NTT Communications’ newest data center, Cyberjaya 4, gained Tier III and LEED Green Building Gold certification.  The cutting-edge facility is NTT Communications’ second green data center in Malaysia, following Cyberjaya 3.  Along with meeting the demands of one of the world’s top IT outsourcing destinations, Cyberjaya 4 also faced the challenging equatorial climate. The new low-rise facility was designed to withstand the hot local climate and make use of the conditions to increase efficiency where it could.  The construction of an internal concrete wall helps insulate the facility against the heat while increasing energy efficiency.  Other green technologies utilized in Cyberjaya 4 include, solar panels and two substations to ensure power supply despite local power issues.  Rainwater collection has also lead to green credentials for Cyberjaya 4.  Meeting the world’s outsourcing needs with an environment-friendly facility, that’s how we put communications at the core of IT.  That’s what you can expect from a global ICT partner.
